Mary Caton Lingold

lingoldMary Caton Lingold is a doctoral student in English, specializing in the eighteenth-century Afro-Caribbean. Her research focuses on the musical life of enslaved people as well as the language of consumption in writings about slavery and colonization. In her spare time, Mary Caton teaches singing at the Walltown Children’s Theatre in Durham and plays bluegrass fiddle. @MissCaton
